JPMorgan Chase, one of the world's most well-respected investment banks, needed a custom built web application to allow them to manage a new business. The project was undertaken for their New York office, by DSC's staff in London.
They were creating a new business line and needed to be operational in a minimum of time. To this end, they were buying in several systems. However, they needed a custom-built application to tie together these various systems. It needed to control the flow of information between the various components and act as a report generation tool. Crucially, it also was to provide their clients with detailed, timely and elegant reports concerning transactions undertaken on their behalf.
They had some specific requirements in addition to the technical and functional requirements of the system. They needed a fixed price and had an aggressive and very rigid delivery schedule. They also required that we work with their hosting provider, a very large corporate IT supplier. This meant deploying and managing our applications remotely and within the constraints of their selected application architecture. Our approach was flexible enough to be able accommodate this requirement. Naturally, DSC delivered on time and on budget.
